Tourniquets

Tourniquets are only to be used to save someones life, where if you did not use it they woudl bleed to death. A tourniquet would normally only be used for a limb already amputated. If you use them just to stop bleeding, you will almost certainly cause them to lose that limb by amputation later unless you release teh tourniquet every few seconds to allow blood back into the limb.
