ANALYSIS PARALYSIS

Are you stuck in ANALYSIS PARALYSIS? Are you a person who can not get started in what you want to do. Are you offering excuses to not start because you feel you are not prepared. Do you hear yourself listening to what you should do but you have to think about it and study it endlessly before you do it. Are you a procrastinator because of fear?
Some people ask for advice, listen to tapes, read motivational books, attend seminars and set goals for years but seem unable to change. Why is it that we hear what to do but are sometimes unable to do it?
It applies to so many things in our lives!
This is one of the main reasons people can not get started getting started in some new habit, adventure or business in their life.
We hear what to do -
We understand what to do -
We even believe that we should do it -
But we do not believe it for OURSELVES -
It is not enough to just hear -
It is not enough to hear and even understand (though that helps) -
WE HAVE TO BE CONVERTED.....
Ken Kerr calls that "HAVING A WHY". The reason you do it has to be a white hot desire of WHY YOU ARE DOING IT or you will fall to the way side at the first wind of resistance and do what you used to do.
"Try to change yourself against your will and you will be just the same still"
The reward for doing it has to be greater than the pain it takes to change. Most of the time that simply is not the case, so we do not change. Sometimes CONSEQUENCES is one of the best teachers in getting us to change.
Think about these three statements:
1. Hear it, do not understand it, and choose to ignore it.
2. Hear it, and believe it, but choose to no follow it.
3. Hear it, understand it, and then do it.
There are some key words in those three statements that you may want to think about:
Hearing
Listening
Understanding
Believing
Doing
I challenge you to break your ANALYSIS PARALYSIS and start DOING today. Draw a line and then step across it and start doing it... what ever it is that you have been listening to and not doing. (Would that something be that little voice inside you that you have not been listening to????
