Dear WalMart Management,

I would suggest that before you place anymore copies of the computer video game GRAND THEFT AUTO VICE CITY in your stores that you verify that you want to be known as a store that is promoting the raping and murdering of women as entertainment. A national boycott of stores selling this game has begun. My wife and I buy 90% of our purchases from WalMart. We are only one of hundreds, perhaps thousands, who will remove our business from your store if you continue to sell this video game.

Comments: I called the WalMart in here in my town and found out from the clerk at the electronics section that they sell the video game GRAND THEFT AUTO. She did not like the game at all because of what was in it - the theft, raping and killing. I asked for the store manager and got Danny, the Assistant Manager on duty today (Saturday). I explained to him about the video and he said he would immediately go down and remove them from the shelves. I then thanked him as there was a National campaign started to boycott stores selling this video, and I didn't want to quit using his store as we buy 90% of our purchases from them. I suggested he call whoever the buyer was for his store and tell them to not buy the video. He said thank you and I hung up.

If we call the stores first and management takes care of it - fine. If management will then call their higher authority to stop the purchasing of that video, that is even better. Stopping it from within is better than trying to stop it from without.

I would like to complain about your selling the computer video game GRAND THEFT AUTO: VICE CITY. In that game you get points for stealing a car. You get more points for picking up a prostitute. If you then have sex with her you get even more points, and if you then murder her to get your money back you get the most points. Is that the image WalMart wants to have. Selling a game that teaches young boys have sex for money, murder women and kill cops. Didnt we learn anything from Columbine High School.

I have started a web page and I have put your name on it and I am trying to get people to start boycotting your store until you remove that game from your shelf and from your web page.
